The FSC and SFI standards promote sustainable forest management, establishing principles and criteria for certification.
FSC® standard

The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) standard focuses on sustainable forest management. It aims to promote responsible forest management practices. The FSC standard sets out the principles, criteria and indicators required for the certification of forests that meet its requirements.

SFI® standard

Members of the SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative® Inc.) program are committed to sustainable forest management, which includes responsibilities such as preserving forest health and productivity, safeguarding water quality, biodiversity and sites of special interest, in accordance with the requirements of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
