Les chaînes de traçabilité sont destinées à contrôler le bois provenant de la forêt tout au long de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, de la forêt jusqu’au client final en passant par toutes les étapes de la production et de la transformation. La marque de chaîne de traçabilité permet ainsi au consommateur d’identifier le bois et ses produits dérivés issus d’une forêt bénéficiant d’une gestion forestière respectant les principes du développement durable.
